Inés Martinez de Espronceda (1º Bachillerato B)

For the end-of-year, the students of 1º Bachillerato travelled to Valencia on a cultural trip. The teachers David Pérez and Leticia Madoz came along. The trip would last two days.

On the first day, we woke up very early (at 5.30 am!) since we had to arrive in the city early enough to visit the Oceanographic. There, we could see many animals such as sea lions, penguins, seals and other beautiful forms of marine life. We could even enjoy a dolphins show, in which my friend Claudia Plou was invited to participate. Later, we went to have lunch to a nearby shopping centre, where despite the great variety of restaurants, we all ended up eating in McDonald’s. Then, in the afternoon, we visited the city of Arts and Science, where we could test an experiment to discover the power of our jump or to get a 3D analysis of our feet. After this, we watched a 3D film in the Hemispheric.

But the most thrilling part of the trip had not come yet! It would be an evening gymkhana. As it had been a very tiring day, after the game we had dinner and went straight to the sleep…with the sharks!

On our last day, we visited the old city of Valencia and watched the Mascletá- noisy fireworks displays that take place every day during Las Fallas at 2pm in the Town hall square.

In the afternoon, we tasted a glass of tiger nut milk (horchata) and returned to Zaragoza.

Although it was a very short trip, we all had a very nice time! And certainly, the best of it was the visit to the Oceanographic.
